Overview
Due to the sensitive information presented in Underwater Crime Scene Technician II, the course is only available to law enforcement personnel or persons sanctioned by a law enforcement agency to assist with evidence recovery*. Detailed information is presented regarding evidence documentation, preservation and crime scene processing, fingerprint recovery, laboratory parameters, photography, videography, and advanced search patterns. This course deals specifically with body recovery operations making the content graphic in nature.
*If you are not affiliated with a law enforcement agency, but would like to attend the UCSTII class, please contact DRI. We would need a letter of endorsement from a law enforcement agency that states you have received training in crime scene processing, evidence documentation and preservation, and are required to complete these tasks through your public safety agency.
Prerequisites:
- Member of a public safety agency
- At least 18 years of age
- Proof of Dive Rescue 1 Specialist Certification or Underwater Crime Scene Technician I Certification
- Students diving in dry suits must summit proof of dry suit training with registration
- Complete RSTC Medical Statement (including physician signature, if applicable)
